Fortnite: Battle Royale
Fortnite Battle Royale is one of the best free to play video game these days. In Fortnite mobile you play single or as a 2 or 4 player team over an island. There are weapons and items lying around. Your goal: to survive at the end like the last. To keep it exciting, the battleground gets smaller and smaller as the game progresses.
The Features of Fortnite Mobile
If you play Fortnite on Mobile, it plays differently than on the PC or the console. You control your avatar with the touchscreen and by tapping you shoot at your opponents. Loot is collected by simply running over it. The gameplay is simple but no less exciting.
Fortnite Battle Royale is full cross-platform: Fortnite on Android you can play with any other platform together. Whether PC, Ps4, Xbox One, Switch or iOS: Thanks to Crossplay, you can play with anyone or with your friends. But consoles and especially the PC have advantages thanks to the better control, by default it remains in the playlist for mobile gamers.
By the way, Fortnite on Android is the complete Fortnite: Battle Royale that everyone can play. It’s not a basic mobile version. Your progress on the mobile phone is the same as on the PC or the consoles.
So you can play Fortnite on the console in the morning after getting up, then play some matches on your mobile during lunch break and then continue playing on your PC in the evening. Your account and progress are always the same.
Fortnite: Battle Royale is not distributed on Android through the Google Play Store. Rather Epic offers the game to download directly. That’s why Android users difficult to find real download numbers and user reports.
But the same version at Apple can serve as a good example. There you are very satisfied with the game and 4.21M users have mostly given 5 stars. With that, Fortnite comes up with a rating of 4.6 points.
Pro: The users especially compliment the cross-platform and that you play exactly the same game as on the other platforms. Also, the gameplay has been best moved to the touch screen.
Cons: So many users cannot handle the controller well. Also, installing it manually through the third-party Epic raises a security risk.
Who should play Fortnite?
Fortnite no one wants to miss out this wonderful Battle Royale game. As already described Fortnite on the mobile phone is exactly the same game as on the other platforms.
So if you can handle the touchscreen controls, you can keep your battles and challenges on the move on your smartphone or tablet.
If you want to have a little more realistic setting and gameplay and you do not mind the construction mode, you should get the mobile version of PUBG.
You also have Battle Royale action in it. Keep in mind, but, the mobile version of PUBG is not compatible with the versions on Xbox One and PC.
Fortnite: Battle Royale for Mobile – The Graphic!
Epic promises, the exact same game players are used to from PC, PS4 and Xbox One. The Graphics of Fortnite on the Mobile Phone are wonderful. Still, I do not see a nicer mobile game than Fortnite.
Loading screen, lobby – everything looks like on the big platforms. Of course, Fortnite on mobile devices cannot support with the graphics of PC and Console. The anti-aliasing is reduced, the details observable messed up and minimized shadow display.
This does not reduce the basic graphics quality. Fortnite looks really good on Mobile and tablets.
Fortnite: Battle Royale for Mobile – The controller!
Walking around, looking around, picking up items, firing and reloading weapons, setting and editing components, and managing resources, done all of this work with a touch screen.
To run around you just have to slide your finger over the edge of the screen at the bottom left, tap once to activate the auto-run mode.
The look around happens on the right side – so far, so natural. “No problem”, I thought – only to find out that there is no such reverse option in the controller. Now Fortnite: Battle Royale on mobile devices is of course still in its early stages, but has become almost unplayable for me.
Of course, I tried it anyway. The controls are natural, at least if you are not involved in a fight and you also want to build. Because then it gets active. Especially beginners are likely to struggle with the control concept.
Also, the weaknesses of the touch screen control show themselves in the fight. True multitasking is not possible. So you cannot look around at the same time and shoot at an opponent without completely cramping his fingers.
The controls can be learned with a bit of practice, a wonderful game condition such as on the PC or the console with the touch screen are much more difficult to manage.
If you cannot handle the touchscreen, you have to wait until Epic patched the controller support.
Fortnite: Battle Royale for Mobile – The Performance!
The game was very smooth in most situations, although I was more likely to struggle with lags. Remember one thing: If you do not have an absolutely stable WLAN or LTE connection throughout, you will not enjoy the game very much.
For the commuter, who has to fight on the track with dead spots, this game is not for them. Apart from connection limitations, the game was surprisingly clean for me.
Also, Fortnite does not bite as much on the data volume as I feared. Depending on the duration, you consume approx. 7 MB in the LTE network per round, which is an acceptable value. In terms of performance and efficiency, Epic has done a pretty good job.
For Fortnite: Battle Royale, especially the battery performance. Whole 15% has cost me a complete round. Granted, my battery is already a bit old – who is traveling a lot but should consider the purchase of a power bank.
